The Kuala Lumpur Design Festival (KLDF) announced its return from the 6th to the 15th of October 2023. KLDF 2023 is set to celebrate Malaysia’s creative and cultural districts. This year’s edition is supported by key players in the design industry including Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Malaysian Timber Board Industry (MTIB), Architects Association of Malaysia (PAM), the Malaysian Industrial Design Association (PEREKA), the Malaysian Graphic Design Association (wREGA), the Tourism Malaysia and Royal Selangor.
This year’s festival took place in the heart of Malaysia’s historical landmark, the iconic Dataran Merdeka, and the vibrant cultural district of Kuala Lumpur, the River of Life in Jalan Banteng, Dataran Merdeka, Godown KL, Rumah Tangsi and Telekom Museum. KLDF aims to stimulate minds and inspire creativity through a dynamic lineup of exhibitions, symposiums, trade shows, and more, all designed to foster a deeper understanding of the significance of design. KLDF stands out as a festival that transcends typical design events by focusing on inclusivity. Founded by Muhamad Razif Nasruddin and Shafique Badril, the festival breaks away from the traditional mould of designer-centric gatherings to offer a diverse range of curated activities aimed at inspiring, educating, and fostering a strong sense of community among attendees.
